After leaving laos I went to Nong Khai. Just 20mins drive across the border over the mekong.

I got bikes with my friend abbey and we cycled to this sculpture park getting lost in the the sweltering heat in the process.



This buddha statue was maybe 50ft hight. Pretty nuts!






This is a buddha image wit the heads of 7 serpants towering over it. It was about 70ft high.

The park was a combination of buddhist and hindu images. It was incredibly quiet and calm with lots of plants and the statues were everywhere towering overhead.

I liked this one with Hanuman (I think) riding a huge rodent. Pretty sweet.

Later the back in my room the fun began as i drew a self portrait on my sock.

I visited the loas national stadium it was very quaint.

This is where yu go down the river on tractor inner tubes and sip acoholic beverages served at bars along the riverbank.

Unfoertunately the beverages made me silly and i lost a shoe in the river.
