Goin Solo

So I go to a place called punta del este with sinead and mark.
We arrived kinda ill (still)and a tad tired. The sunset was real nice but the mozzies that munched us to the bone were not.

We hired bikes (coz all kool kidz need them).
Mark went on a fitness mission - donned the short shorts, got a bit nekkid and cycled really fast.
We went slow coz sinead was vex coz she had to carry the bag.
We continued to treat our bodies real well and i hate to say it but macdonalds was the choice of the people. But i was cool wiv that coz they do the poshest condiments.

The colour of my fanta upset me. I guess in the uk we have regulations against a certain level of uranium in the drinks.

Sinead had hundreds of ulcers in her gob. I dont think mac d's was the miracle cure.

Punta del este is like the number 1 tourist destination in uraguay, however apparently not in low season (its autumn here). So the place was a ghost town. I liked how surreal it felt with massive high rise apartments empty, beaches empty, roads empty.

The port was nice around 7.

This shop cracked me up.
I was bennin' up so bad i nearly went no. 2 - simple yet effective. Dont judge me

I left alone coz sinead and mark had to get to BA later to get his plane home. I went from here 2 montivideo 4 a night (but i literally went, ate pizza, slept, left) - i'm sure it had loads 2 offer as capital of uraguay, but i had a 30hr coach, boat, then coach journey in front of me.
From Montivideo bus to - colonia (wher i was b4) boat to - BA (wher i left my cash card in a machine, got scared coz i thought an argentine was chasing me then hugged him coz he was returnin my precious plastic money maker) bus to - Puerto madryn...............aaaahhhhhhhh. hectic!

So this was the view from the chemical toilet of my bus - it went on 4 ever. It was an incredible feeling like the end of the world. These are 100mile square farms. Animals roam free and get rounded up annualy.
The bus gave me dinner, coffee, breakfast, pillows and i played bingo with a five year old helping me - we were a lethal team, i got the rules she could understand wat numbers he said. We lost. However her favourite animal is ratas (rats) - i drew her 1.

I arrived in the welsh city of Peurto Madryn.
Turns out welsh folk were the only ones who could successfully colonise this part of coastal patagonia over 100 yrs ago.
The next city had 6 welsh tea houses. a welsh school that teaches welsh. and people are called jones, williams, gwn........... get the picture.

I was tired after my trip. on sunday every1 hits the pier with the family and fishing rod. I enjoyed it.

I got up at 6am to find a tour to see whales and sealions / but everywhere was closed so i looked at the sea and sky.

I saw a white heron dead. Good thing i'm only half white it could have been a bad omen. I love you dad, lucas, kim....

The penguins were cool. We got a tour with Hugo (pronounced OOO-go) - it was kinda pricey but everybody love penguins. Plus he was sooper nice and told us all about patagonia, welsh settlers and wildlife.

This statue was in puerto madryn by the tiny little contemporary art gallery -which was good and so was the statue.

So then 2days later i got a 20 odd hour bus to bariloche. I woke up to snow capped andes in my face. I was happy despite my 5hours sleep.

Sinead will come to see me here soon.
